Job summary

Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our nursing team. Shifts include Day 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and Evening 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with opportunities to support residents with activities of daily living and provide respectful, quality care.

Our team helps residents with mobility and meals, records vital signs, and communicates changes to the nursing staff. We value reliability, teamwork, and a resident-centered approach to care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State CNA certification is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare settings preferred.
• New CNA graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Help residents with meals and food as needed.
• Take and record vital signs and other resident information as directed by nursing staff.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to the nurse.
• Answer calls and respond to resident requests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Provide residents with emotional support, companionship, dignity, and respect.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, supervisors, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Accurately complete required documentation.
• Perform other resident-care duties as assigned by the nursing team.
