Regency at Troy in Troy, MI is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to care for residents under RNs/LPNs and support the nursing staff in delivering individualized care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or a graduate of a state approved CNA training program and pass the state competency exam.
• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care, oral hygiene, and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and meal intake as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs and report observations to licensed staff.
• Support residents' independence, safety, and dignity at all times.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Provide postmortem care and participate in residents' assessment and plan of care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within120 daysof employment; nameentered intostate nurse aide registry.

Minimum Qualifications

• Computer skills arerequired.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.
