Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group in Sumter, SC is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care team. All shifts—Day, EVE, NOC—are open, with weekend PRN. Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $21.47 per hour, with full-time benefits including 401K, FSA/Dependent Care FSA, Life Insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State and maintain certification throughout employment.
• Meet State and federal requirements, generally 12 hours, in service education.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Recent education or clinical hours are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing comfort while assisting residents in achieving their highest level of function.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Monitoring vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
• Maintaining a safe environment and assisting with fall-risk precautions.
• Interdepartmental communications within care team.

Qualifications

• You need to be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.
