Job summary

Right at Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our home-care team. You will play a vital role in supporting seniors with daily activities, mobility, and personal care, helping to maintain comfort and independence in their own homes.

The position offers competitive pay ($16.00-$18.00/hour), ongoing paid training, and paid travel time between clients. A supportive office network and a culture that values teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Six months CNA experience in healthcare (home or facility)
• Current CPR recommended
• Must read, write, and understand English

Responsibilities

• Assist with ostomy appliance changes
• Reinforce non-sterile dressings
• Assist with daily living devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, lift)
• Assist with ROM exercises
• Assist with simple urine tests as directed
• Prepare and measure special diets
• Monitor intake and output
• Take vital signs (temp, pulse, respirations, BP)
• Apply external catheter
• Assist with arm/leg slings or splints

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the change of ostomy appliances
• Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile)
• Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with self-administered simple urine tests for sugar acetone or albumin (may not interpret results)
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Measuring intake and output
• Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure)
• Application of an external (condom-type) catheter
• Assisting with application of arm sling, arm splint or leg splint

Requirements:

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course
• The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
