Job summary

Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Providence, RI is seeking a CNA for full-time and flexible shifts. You will provide hands-on care under supervision, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, dignified environment for residents.

Strong communication, teamwork, and compassion are essential as you support residents’ physical and emotional needs and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care daily.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license in the state of employment.
• Valid BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care under licensed staff supervision in a safe, compassionate manner.
• Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, dressing and mobility.
• Provide supportive care to meet residents' physical, emotional, and daily needs.
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment that promotes dignity and well-being.
• Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities for CNAs:

• Provide basic resident care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff in a safe, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and changing linens.
• Provide supportive care and services to ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and daily living needs are consistently met.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to nursing staff in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that promotes dignity and well-being for all residents.
• Support nursing staff and the care team in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications for CNAs:

• Must hold a current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of employment.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to providing high-quality resident care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately and consistently.
