Job summary

The CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support clinical teams in PACU/Pre-Op with compassionate patient care and efficient flow.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 2 years of CNA/LNA experience, AZ licensure, and BLS, with a willingness to obtain certification within 90 days; this full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience required.
• Certification in BLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current LNA, CNA, or UCNA licensure with the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Assists clinical staff in PACU/Pre-Op by facilitating the patient flow.
• Transports patient belongings from Pre-Op to PACU, locking belongings in the patient locker.
• Cleans monitors and sets up Pre-Op bays for incoming patients.
• Stocks supplies in Pre-Op and PACU.
• Assists patients to the restroom in Pre-Op.
• Transports patients to their vehicle from PACU.
• Assists charge nurse with clerical needs.
• Maintains comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients while delivering services.
• Maintains flexibility with scheduling and unit coverage; works across units.
• Fosters a positive hospital environment and teamwork.
• Completes competencies and tasks assigned by nurse lead or designee.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Fosters a positive and professional hospital environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.
• Has successfully complete required competencies required of position and various tasks as assigned by the nurse lead or designee and according to policy.
