Job summary

Premier Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Far Rockaway in New York is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for a part-time weekend role to support our skilled nursing team and residents.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, supervise LPNs and CNAs, document in EMR, and collaborate with physicians and families to maintain a safe, resident-centered environment. Weekend availability is required; additional shifts may be offered based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Complete resident assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions safely and accurately.
• Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with all New York State Department of Health, CMS, and facility policies.
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment.
