Job summary

Coral Reef Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care across all shifts in a Miami-area facility. The role includes assisting with daily activities, ensuring resident comfort, and documenting progress in PCC with training provided.

Candidate must hold a valid Florida CNA certification and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and respect for resident rights. Background checks are required; salary is $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and clear Florida CNA certification number.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care is preferred but not required.
• Familiar with documentation writing on Point Click Care (PCC) system; training provided.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide the best patient-centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism.
• Confidentiality, HIPAA, and Federal Residents' Rights compliance.

Responsibilities

• Gives direct care as assigned, i.e., bath, shower, oral hygiene, giving and removing bedpans/urinals, personal grooming, and all other hygienic needs
• Cleans and cares for bedside equipment and the residents' environment, occupied and unoccupied beds, bedside tables, dressers, residents' clothing, and personal belongings
• Practices safety rules at all times to prevent accidents
• Assist the nurse in maintaining continuous observation of and assisting residents
• Conduct resident care rounds, visiting each resident for at least one to two hours
• Prepare residents for meals, and help or feed residents as needed
• Completes all documentation before the end of the shift
• Establishes and maintains a rapport with residents, families, visitors, and all levels of staff
