Job summary

Signature HealthCARE's Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our resident-centered team. You will perform direct resident care duties under supervision, support ADLs, and help create a compassionate, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state where the facility operates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Approachable and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work independently with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living within the resident's plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in the resident room.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output and other information as assigned.
• Turn and position residents; support resident rights within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas; respond to call lights promptly.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff; participate in special projects.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
