Job summary

Homestead of Kingfisher is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide companionship, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with nursing staff.

Requirements include current CNA certification and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift and reposition residents as needed.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Deliver individualized care and monitor residents’ wellbeing including vital signs as directed.

About the Role

As a CNA with Homestead of Kingfisher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals
• Participating in resident care conferences and contributing to the development of individualized care plans

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
• Monitor resident vital signs, report changes to RN or LPN, and document as necessary
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, as needed
• Participate in activities and programs designed to promote resident engagement and wellness
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including daily cleaning and disinfection of resident areas
