Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will support ADLs, comfort, and well-being, while upholding facility policies and promoting a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have integrity when working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

How you Will make a difference
