Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Danvers, Massachusetts. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with serving meals, feeding residents, and meal documentation
- Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Assist with scheduling appointments and transporting residents to activities and appointments
- Monitor resident conditions and report any unusual conditions, accidents, or incidents to the nurse
- Participate in informal and formal resident care meetings as requested
- Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice
Requirements
- C.N.A. certification as evidenced by completion of Nurse's Aide Training Program approved in accordance with the State of Massachusetts Public Health Code and a passing score on the MA Nurse's Aide Certification Exam
- Clean ASI registry check
- Previous CNA experience desirable, but not essential
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position assignment
- Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required - bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders are involved
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Mechanical devices are provided and are required to assist in proper lifting techniques

- Takes vital signs and weights, records as facility instructed
- Understands and upholds the Resident's Bill of Rights and holds all resident information confidential
- Follows and complies with all State and Federal regulations as well as established Personnel Policies and Procedures
- Maintains all pertinent records in an accurate, timely, efficient, and confidential manner
