What You'll Do

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Aspen Trace, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your primary responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities, promoting independence, and maintaining dignity. You will work closely with nursing staff to monitor health and report any changes. This role requires compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to improving residents’ quality of life, fostering a supportive environment of healing and comfort.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
  • Help with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning.
  • Monitor vital signs and report significant changes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including changing linens and cleaning equipment.
  • Document care activities and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Our ideal candidate

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility.
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas, such as dementia care.

Skills

Effective communication, compassion, empathy, attention to detail, and time management are essential skills. Specialized training in dementia care is a plus.
