The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance for residents living in our community.

Required Experience for CNA:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred.
• Previous experience as a nursing aide preferred.
• Must be a licensed, Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.

Accountabilities for CNA:

• Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor, and dress.
• Organize tasks efficiently and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Handle frequent interruptions calmly and effectively.
• Engage with residents and colleagues under all conditions.
• Manage interactions with upset residents, family members, visitors, and staff professionally.
• Work varied hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Be prepared for callbacks during emergency situations such as severe weather or disasters.
• Perform continuous physical movement throughout shifts.

Responsibilities for CNA:

• Lead and provide 1440 care.
• Review Resident Care Plans at the start of each shift.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene for residents.
• Support residents with dressing, feeding, and mobility needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in residents' rooms.
• Assist residents with meals and snacks.
• Respond promptly to calls and ensure lights are accessible.
• Assist with toileting and changing incontinent briefs as needed.
• Record vital signs and other health observations accurately.
• Measure and record intake and output, and assist with specimen collection.
• Ensure safety and dignity during transfers and ambulation.
• Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions.
• Document care activities accurately in CareTracker.
• Report any unusual signs, accidents, or suspected abuse immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.

General Working Conditions:

This role requires standing for long periods, effective communication, and physical activity including lifting up to 25 pounds. The environment is moderate noise, with occasional travel to different locations. Compassion, organization, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
