Job summary

Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks, ND is hiring CNAs to support residents with daily activities and care across day, evening, and night shifts.

Starting hourly wages range from $23.00 to $30.71, with strong benefits including health and dental insurance, PTO, extended sick leave, and 401K matching. A ND CNA certification or training completion within 120 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support resident in making personal choices, to accommodate individual needs and encourage independence.
• Understand and follow basic concepts of infection control.
• Maintain safety standards as established by Valley Senior Living, including use of safe operating procedures.
• Assist resident as needed in all phases of activities of daily living.
• Communicate effectively with residents.
• Understand Cognitive (mental) loss and assist residents to function at highest possible level.
• Understand and follow federal and state Residents Rights including providing privacy, confidentiality, and promoting dignity.
• Interact effectively with resident, visitors, and all members of the health care team.
• Respond to call lights in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Adapt the physical environment in response to resident’s individual needs (light, air, temperature, noise, etc.).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Able to perform basic mathematical equations.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

• Certified within the state of ND as a Certified Nursing Assistant or must have completed a ND state approved training course and be certified as a CNA in North Dakota within 120 days of date of hire.
