Job Summary: This will be a full-time, direct placement position. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a vital role in the delivery of healthcare services by providing essential care to patients under the supervision of RNs and LPNs. As a CNA, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work in various healthcare settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers, to support patients with varying levels of care needs. Your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.

Monitor and Record Vital Signs: Measure and document patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate, according to established protocols.

Provide Basic Care and Comfort: Ensure patients are comfortable, assist with repositioning, and provide skin care to prevent pressure ulcers.

Patient Mobility and Transportation: Assist patients with walking, transferring from bed to chair, and transporting them to different areas within the facility.

Observe and Report: Monitor patients for changes in condition, behavior, or appetite, and promptly report any concerns to the nursing staff.

Support Patient Safety: Follow safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and infections, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.

Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Emotional Support: Offer compassionate support and reassurance to patients and their families, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere.

Requirements:

Certification: Must have an active CNA certification in the state of Indiana.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
