Job summary
Signature HealthCARE in Putnam County is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide activities of daily living and assist with mobility, hygiene, and dining under the plan of care. You will support the nursing team and help ensure resident comfort and safety.
You will also document vital signs and intake/output, assist with transfers, and help with daily cares while upholding resident rights in a compassionate, professional environment with potential shift differentials.
Qualifications
- Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state where the facility operates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to handle pressure.
- Flexible, approachable, and able to adapt to change.
Responsibilities
- Provide ADLs within the resident's plan of care.
- Change bed linens and maintain grooming in resident rooms.
- Ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices.
- Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption.
- Routinely turn and position residents and ensure comfort.
- Support resident rights and choices in the care environment.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in duty areas.
- Answer call lights promptly and assist residents.
- Assist in orientation/training of other staff.
- Handle other projects and duties as assigned.

- Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
- Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
- Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
- Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
- Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
- Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
