Job summary

Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring, supportive team. This is a 1st shift full-time position with on-call PRN opportunities.

As a frontline member of the Clinical Department, you will assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, monitor changes in condition, maintain a safe environment, and contribute to our high standard of care. Iowa CNA certification preferred; growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate or completion from an Iowa- accredited CNA program.
• Prior CNA experience is preferable.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and daily care tasks.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report to charge nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and provide high-quality care.
• Support residents to maintain dignity and comfort and participate in education as needed.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA certificate, or certificate of completion from a State of Iowa Accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Prior Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA experience is preferable.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA. you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony House Care Center by performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
