Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, meal planning and preparation, and physical therapy exercises.
- Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Offer activities essential for daily living, including serving meals and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA Certification
- Willing to submit to a background check
- Provide at least three professional references
- Availability for shifts such as Monday-Friday 9am-1pm, every other weekend 9am-1pm, split shifts, 12-hour shifts with rotation, PRN, or PT shifts for nurses on weekends or additional evening hours.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to learn new skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily
- Compassionate and supportive demeanor
- Willing to work different shifts, including nights and weekends
- Minimum of 1-year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care
- Willing to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive, compassionate, and pride in providing high-quality care
