Signature HealthCARE is a family-based healthcare company seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care in a 55-bed facility, under supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and contribute to a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you collaborate with nursing staff, participate in resident care plans, and uphold facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have integrity when working with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice as defined by state regulation and care plan.
• Change bed linens and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents with appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption.
• Routinely turn and position residents and maintain safety.
• Support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What You Need To Make a Difference
