Job summary

Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The role requires an Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification and on-hire Alaska license, with BLS training completed within 30 days of hire.

Full-time, 36 hours per week (three 12-hour day shifts) in a hospital setting. We emphasize a patient-focused, whole-person approach and offer a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Alaska Nursing Assistant License required upon hire.

Work Hours and Shift

Hours: Full Time 36-hour weekly, (3) 12-hour shifts weekly. Shift: Day Shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Some college courses in nursing or therapy field. 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care.
