Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for day shifts in Fort Lauderdale. The CNA will assist residents with daily living activities, take vitals, and provide emotional support under the direction of licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities include reporting changes to nursing personnel, monitoring resident conditions, and ensuring safety. Prior experience in substance abuse or mental health populations is preferred. Must be flexible for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Nurse’s Assistant.
• Experience with substance abuse and mental health population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, grooming).
• Take and record vital signs and intake/output as directed by nurse.
• Report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing personnel.
• Monitor residents and report unsafe conditions; perform rounds as scheduled.
• Provide emotional support and engage residents in activities.
• Support Milieu and Dietary Aides duties as required.
• Attend staff and program meetings and trainings.
