Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III, Correctional Facility (CF), and the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), CF, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs patient care activities and related nonprofessional health care activities in various treatment facilities and healthcare settings. Responsibilities include assisting patients with physical care, activities of daily living, ensuring safety, and monitoring for suicide precautions and restraints. The CNA collaborates with the nursing team and other healthcare providers to address patient needs and promote efficient and cost-effective healthcare resource use.
All employees must meet general qualifications as per California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 172. Note: Training and Development assignments are not considered at this time.
Refer to the Class Specification for detailed Minimum Requirements. The position is located at the California Institution for Men in Chino, CA, San Bernardino County. Multiple positions are available. The work location is in-office, with a permanent, full-time job classification.
