Job description

ameriCARE in Birmingham is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the afternoon shift (4 : 00-8 : 00pm). This is a part-time hourly healthcare / medical job located in the Lake Cyrus Neighborhood in Hoover, AL. As a CNA, you will provide excellent client care and support. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. The compensation for this position is $16 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Assist with the transfer and positioning of patients
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Document patient care and observations accurately and timely
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
