APD provides services and support for individuals with conditions such as spina bifida, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and others. Services are provided at no charge or co-payment. SALARY RANGE

$37,127.79 - $40,840.57 annually
$1,427.99 - $1,570.79 biweekly

The starting salary may exceed the posted maximum.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

The individual in this position will perform prescribed care and treatment of patients under the supervision of nursing staff, including but not limited to:

  • Applying splints and positioning devices, making beds, changing linens, taking vital signs, weights, and recording intake/output
  • Following performance standards and nursing policies
  • Ensuring safety and infection control policies are followed
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Collecting specimens like urine and blood
  • Responding promptly to residents' needs and reporting concerns
  • Participating in care plan development and documenting activities
  • Assisting with minor procedures and clinics
  • Maintaining and organizing equipment and supplies
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including training
Position Requirements
  • If licensed out-of-state, must obtain Florida driver’s license within 30 days
  • Corrective lenses are acceptable with a restricted license
  • Willing to perform essential services during emergencies
  • Willing to work beyond normal hours as needed
  • Maintain certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies, CPR, and In-Service training
  • Possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant license
  • Complete ongoing CEUs to maintain license
  • Must lift up to 40 lbs with or without accommodations

This position may require working before, during, and after emergencies, and working beyond normal hours to ensure resident safety.
