Base pay range

$21.50/hr - $23.50/hr

Shift available: 2ND Full-Time and Part-Time

Starting pay is $21.50-23.50 per hour.

SUMMARY:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living, ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of residents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with serving meals, feeding, providing water and nourishment.
• Assist with personal hygiene: bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves, bathroom trips, showers.
• Assist in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Monitor resident stability: check vital signs, record intake/output.
• Ensure resident comfort: respond to call lights, report observations.
• Complete documentation: forms, reports, logs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and related laws.
• Follow professional standards, policies, and legal requirements.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

• Hold current CNA certification in Illinois.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Preferably have long-term care experience.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Be proficient in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds, and having adequate visual and auditory abilities for communication. The environment is usually moderate noise.
