Under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs a variety of routine duties involving care of medically or mentally ill acute or sub-acute patients; performs direct patient care; observes and reports changes in the behavior and physical status of patients; provides a clean and safe environment; and performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications
License and Certification:
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Possession of a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association is required as a provision to employment for all positions. Candidates who do not possess such a certification may participate in this examination process and be appointed to a position(s), but will be required to obtain the certificate within two (2) weeks of hire date and maintain validity throughout length of employment.
SELECTION PROCEDURES
Training and Experience Evaluation (Weight: 100%): Candidates can complete the Training & Experience Evaluation now. It will also be emailed to candidates meeting the Minimum Qualifications. This evaluation is designed to measure knowledge, skills and/or abilities in job related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position. All relevant experience, education and/or training must be on the application in order to be reviewed in the scoring process.
Candidates must achieve a passing score on the Training and Experience Evaluation to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score.
Additional selection processes may be conducted by the hiring department prior to making final hiring decisions.
