Shift: Shift 3
Rotating weeks of working 9:30pm-7:30am Mon/Tues/Sat/Sun and the next week working Wed/Thurs/Fri.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides delegated, age-appropriate care in a culturally sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services. The CNA performs tasks learned during CNA training and certification or basic nursing courses at an accredited school. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This role reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and the RNs on duty. Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required. Alternatively, candidates must be enrolled in a nursing program with documentation of successful completion of a basic nursing course, including all criteria noted by the Wisconsin administrative code and at least one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
