Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support children and adults with developmental needs in residential programs. You will provide hands-on care under supervision, promoting dignity and person-centered support.

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• GED or High School Diploma
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team‑oriented.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, and oral care.
• Support individuals with toileting, repositioning, ambulation, and transfers.
• Monitor and report changes in individuals' condition to the supervising nurse.
• Support community engagement and recreational activities.
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Provide feeding assistance and feeding tubes support as needed.
• Perform basic wound care and catheter/colostomy care per protocol.
• Measure and record fluid intake and output.
• Identify and apply preventative measures for high‑risk conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for individuals served.

What You'll Do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

As a CNA, you will provide hands‑on care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, supporting individuals with age‑specific medical needs across our residential programs.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, and oral care
• Support individuals with toileting, repositioning, ambulation, and transfers
• Monitor and report changes in individuals' condition to the supervising nurse
• Support community engagement and recreational activities
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment
• Transport individuals to appointments and community activities
• Administer medications as directed
• Provide feeding assistance, including support with feeding tubes
• Perform basic wound care and catheter/colostomy care per facility protocol
• Measure and record fluid intake and output
• Identify and apply preventative measures for high‑risk conditions (falls, choking, Narcan use)
• Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for individuals served
• Promote dignity, respect, and person‑centered support
