Certified Nursing Assistant

SCHEDULE: PRN; as needed – Opportunities available for day, evening, and night shifts

FACILITY: Stevens Correctional Center

LOCATION: Welch, West Virginia

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our facility, you’ll support nursing staff with essential daily operations and provide direct care that ensures patient well‑being. Working under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and hygiene
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake, and output
• Supporting ambulation, repositioning, and range of motion activities
• Assisting with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility
• Providing emotional support and responding promptly to call lights
• Cleansing and maintaining patient areas, workrooms, and equipment
• Assisting physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining supply inventory
• Encouraging hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care
• Documenting care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system
