Job summary

State Tested Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant performs direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, hygiene, and ambulation—while following safety and care plans.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be STNA/CNA or complete a state-approved nurse aide training program and competency exam within four

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State Approved Nurse Aide training program and competency exam within four months of hire.
• Must already be a State Tested Nurse Aide or obtain certification in training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene, ambulation).
• Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures.
• Must meet job competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual for STNA or CNA.
• Answers call lights.
• Complete documentation of care given.
• Refer to and follow resident care plan.
• Report abnormal findings, injuries, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and unsafe conditions.
