Position: Certified Nursing Assistant

Schedule: Opportunities available for day, evening, and night shifts

Facility: Shawnee Correctional Center

Location: Vienna, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00

Position Summary

As a C.N.A at our facility, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of LPNS, RNs, and medical providers. Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in checking vital signs, height, and weight; collecting and maintaining records of fluid intake and output; reporting on inmate conditions.
2. Following established infection control practices and emergency protocols.
3. Assisting inmates with ambulation, turning, repositioning, and range of motion activities.
4. Cleaning bedside units, workrooms, and equipment; assisting nursing staff with washing and sterilizing equipment.
5. Assisting with medications ordinarily self-administered when specifically ordered by a physician.
6. Performing other duties as required or instructed, upon receiving necessary training.

Requirements

• Nursing Assistant Certificate
• Current CPR Certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute)
• Excellent clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
