Job summary

Whole Person Care Clinic in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support clients recovering from illness within the Recuperative Care facility. You will assist with activities of daily living and basic health monitoring under supervision.

• Reinforce care instructions from licensed clinical staff.

JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports clients recovering from illness, injury, or medical treatment within WPCC's Recuperative Care facility. The CNA provides compassionate, person-centered assistance with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, mobility, comfort, and basic health monitoring.

The CNA works with the Medical Coordinator (LVN), Medical Coordinator Assistants (MAs), case managers, and other care team members to support client safety, recovery, independence, and well-being, using a trauma-informed, respectful, and culturally responsive approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal Care

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Experience

• Previous CNA experience preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, recuperative care, assisted living, hospitals, or shelters preferred
• Experience with complex medical, behavioral health, or social needs a plus

Certifications

• Current CNA certification in applicable state required
• Current BLS certification required (or within 2 weeks of hire)
• Additional healthcare certifications preferred, not required
