SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs assigned duties of resident care, activities of daily living, and related tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse and the nurse manager. Promotes maximum independence and comfort for each resident by providing individualized care in collaboration with co-workers, residents, and families. Supports and promotes resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits, and autonomy of choice.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of the nurse aide course as certified by the state of PA
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• Must be able to read, write, and take verbal direction
• Be willing to be a change agent
• Demonstrates sensitivity to residents' emotional, social, mental health, and spiritual needs
• Previous experience in a rehab setting preferred.
