JOB DETAILS:
- Job Name: Certified Nursing Assistant
- REPORTS TO: Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Nursing Administration

- Patient Ratios: Varies 1:10 to 1:15
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Active BLS/CPR, Active CNA state license & 1+ year of CNA experience
- Job Type: Local & Travel contract
- Travel Radius Rule: Travel CNA's permanent home address should be 50 miles or more from the facility's address
- Work location: Onsite at 310 East Wardell Dr. Pembroke NC 28372
- Shift time: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Break/Meal: 30 minutes
- Shift Details: Must have Monday-Friday flexibility
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 37/week
- Overtime Hours: As needed by the Facility
- Contract duration: 9 weeks
- Bonus: To be discussed with Agency Recruiter
POSITION SUMMARY:
The CNA delivers nursing care under supervision, ensuring positive outcomes and patient satisfaction. Performs patient care activities, including specimen collection where permitted, and adheres to standards of practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide safe and comfortable patient care, including ADL assistance, vital signs, ambulation, positioning, and personal belongings management.
- Assist with treatments, record-keeping, patient transport, and care planning.
- Participate in infection control, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and work beyond scheduled shifts if needed.
EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Verification of TST, basic computer knowledge, ongoing education, and compliance with legal and policy standards.
SPECIMEN COLLECTOR DUTIES (States Permitting):
- Collect nasal specimens, maintain specimen integrity, and document accurately.
- Complete training and competency in specimen collection and processing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience or enrollment in nursing programs, lab tech, Med Tech, Med Aide, or recommendations from licensed nurses.
- Fit testing for respirators (N95/KN95).
