A renowned organization is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver exceptional care in a Day Program setting. The role emphasizes patient monitoring, documentation of care plans, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma, complete a Nursing Assistant Program, and maintain certification in CPR. This position allows for significant interaction with individuals to enhance their quality of life.
Purpose: The Certified Nursing Assistant will align his/her scope of work with Jawonio’s Mission, while incorporating Jawonio’s Core Values as the guiding principle for all work activities.
Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for monitoring the health of individuals/participants in the Day Programs & Residences. He/she will perform routine nursing assistant activities that support quality of care in accordance with the nursing care plan.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma. Certificate of completion in an approved Nursing Assistant Program. Maintain current BLS CPR
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to consumers and employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates and Licenses:
New York State Certificate of completion in an approved Nursing Assistant Program.
Maintain current BLS CPR
