Job summary

Baptist Easley Med Campus in Easley, SC—Prisma Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. No experience required and CNA certification is a plus. You will join a compassionate team dedicated to patient well-being.

Night shifts involve assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals, documenting observations, and helping maintain a safe, clean environment in the Short Stay unit. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Required Certifications: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Knowledge & Abilities: Basic computer/data entry, math, patient equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect vital signs and basic specimens; document changes.
• Perform non-sterile soaks and simple dressings per RN.
• Operate call lights, transport patients, and assist with fall prevention.
• Document care in medical records and report to RN.

Job Summary

Assists in providing patient care based on the individualized plan of care for a patient. As delegated, performs basic nursing activities. Conducts data collection, monitors and documents patient status. Ensures confidentiality of all patient information. Utilizes safe patient handling at all times. Informs RN of activities performed observations of patients and changes in patient status. Provides a neat and clean patient environment.

Essential Functions

• Assists patients with activities of daily living. Turns and repositions patients alone or with assistance. May transport patients and assist with walking. Assists with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated.
• Provides patient care as delegated by the RN including, but not limited to, non-sterile soaks, application of non-sterile simple dressings, perineal care.
• Performs data collection including vital signs, fluid intake and outtake and basic and sterile specimen collection. Properly documents and maintains data on medical record and informs RN of activities performed, observations of patients and changes in patient status.
• Runs errands, answers telephone, answers and responds to call lights.
• Performs point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN. Reports lab values to RN.
• Provides and documents comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

• Education - Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
• Experience - No experience required.

In Lieu Of

• In lieu of school verification of a nursing assistant training course, will accept current or former state CN A certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire.
