Job summary

Hallway Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our in-home care team in Brentwood, CA. The role emphasizes one patient per shift, long shifts, and focused, compassionate care for clients receiving benefits through federal programs.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision, vital signs, ADLs, and documentation in Alayacare. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel between patient homes as needed.

Qualifications

• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, cooking, feeding and light housekeeping.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist with patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
• Transport patients to doctors appointments, grocery stores or pharmacies.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Hallway Healthcare provides in-home nursing care to retired Nuclear and Federal Workers that have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA. These are the workers who have retired from Department of Energy facilities such Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Sandia National Lab Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford Linear, etc. We also serve Federal Workers such as US Postal Workers.

Unlike many home health agencies that require multiple short visits per shift, Hallway Healthcare typically assigns you to one patient per shift, allowing for more focused, consistent, and meaningful care.

Certified Nursing Assistantsare responsible for light cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry, as well as assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. Additionally, personal care aides might consult with a client's family members and nursing staff to address their concerns regarding the client's health, nutrition, and overall well-being. Able to take vital signs and report to supervisor.

Experience: 6 months of experience. Computer literate, with EMR experience.

SHIFTS: 12 hour shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Day and NOC shifts available

Hourly rate: $21.00-$23.00/hr

Environmental Elements

Employee works in a home setting sometimes with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, they may have direct exposure to hazardous substances. The role involves managing challenging interactions with staff, public officials and private representatives while interpreting and implementing departmental policies and procedures.

Employee will have to travel to a variety of patient homes and perform in conditions that vary greatly depending upon the client’s home environment. Some homes will be clean, neat, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Other homes may be cluttered, dirty, with an uncomfortable temperature.
