Qualifications

• Provide basic care to students, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for each student, ensuring compliance with school and health regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Support students with special health needs, including those with chronic conditions or disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized health plans.
• Educate students on health-related topics, promoting wellness and healthy habits.
• Maintain a clean and organized health office, ensuring all medical supplies are stocked and properly stored.
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed, following emergency protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in student health care.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in pediatric care or school health is a plus.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
