Job summary

Centurion Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals at the Metropolitan Transition Center. You will assist with personal hygiene, daily living tasks, vital signs, and respond to patient needs under nursing and psychiatric supervision.

Required is a Maryland CNA license and active CPR/BLS certification, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, and monitor vital signs.
• Support patient safety and comfort and report changes to supervising staff.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Metropolitan Transition center located in Baltimore, Maryland.

CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required
• CNA licensure in Maryland required
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse's aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
