Job summary

DANIELS MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE CENTER is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their care plans and supervision. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient dignity and comfort in a compassionate, compliant environment.

• Assist with activities of daily living, grooming, positioning, skin care, and personal hygiene as outlined in CNA program and training.
• Check vital signs and weights as ordered; report to nurse and document in chart.
• Obtain CPR certification and EKG training as well as other training opportunities.
• Assist nurses and other staff with procedures, in ER's and with other tasks and duties.
• Demonstrates positive, supportive and caring communication with patients/residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Provides basic housekeeping functions including assigned chores.
• Stay current with required training and certifications including online courses.
• Knowledge of departmental and facility policies, HIPAA and patient rights.

Job description

The primary purpose of the nursing home CNA position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the residents assessment and care plan, and as directed by your immediate supervisor. DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY: As a Certified Nursing Assistant you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Sign-on bonus included.
