Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center in Ames, IA is seeking a hospitality-minded Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our growing team. CNAs provide care under RN/LPN supervision and perform charting to ensure a continuum of care, while following safety procedures and alerting the charge nurse to relevant resident information.

This full-time night shift offers a starting wage of $20.00-$21.00 per hour, with a $2.00/hour differential for hours 6:00pm–6:00am.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA licensure as per Department guidelines.
• Provide care to residents under RN/LPN supervision.
• Accurate charting of resident care per standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with community and regulatory standards.
• Timely report changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart ADLs as per each resident’s care plan.
• Treat residents with respect and individualized care.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration and dining as needed.
• Keep resident rooms clean and organized.
• Demonstrate commitment to Person-Directed Care.

Green Hills is actively looking for a hospitality-minded Certified Nurse Aides (CNA), to join our growing team! CNA's provide care to our residents under the direction of the RN or LPN on duty. CNA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information. • Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with community and regulatory standards.
• Timely report any changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in accordance with each resident’s nursing care plan.
• Treat each resident as an individual and address them respectfully.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, monitoring food and fluid intake as well as physically assisting with dining as needed.
• Ensure resident rooms are kept clean and organized.
• Exhibit the highest degree of commitment to Person‑Directed Care philosophy.
• Have obtained or will obtain your CNA licensure, according to Department of Inspections and Appeals guidelines.
• Maintain a valid registration with the Direct Care Worker Registry.
• Can assist residents in case of an emergency, including during evacuation procedures.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
