Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full-scope midwifery care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman/gynecologic services within a collaborative practice.

The CNM will manage low- and moderate-risk pregnancies, demonstrate strong clinical judgment in triage, labor management, fetal surveillance, postpartum assessment, and newborn transition, and effectively recognize and elevate high-risk conditions when appropriate.

Qualifications

• CNM from accredited program.
• Surgical First Assist preferred.
• Current Michigan licensure.
• BLS required; DEA required (or obtained after hire).

Position Overview:

This role requires proficiency in evidence-based practice and clinical guideline implementation, a strong commitment to patient education and shared decision-making, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced inpatient and outpatient settings while working closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Education & Training

• Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM):Completion of a nurse-midwifery program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME)

Licensure

• Current licensureas a Certified Nurse-Midwife in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).

Certification

• CNM: Certification by theAmerican Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)

Required Certifications
