Job description

Description

Position Type: Full-time Certified Nurse Midwife

Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Location: Ahuja Medical Center, Beachwood, OH

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at University Hospitals is seeking a full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife or OB hospitalist to provide 24/7 coverage at our birthing locations, supporting our commitment to excellent patient care.

We are excited to announce the opening of The Potash Center for Women’s and Children’s unit at Ahuja Medical Center. The new unit will feature nine labor and birth rooms, including two with built-in tubs, and will be a level II facility.

A typical workweek for our midwifery team involves 12 hours of in-house on-call duty per week, along with office time. During on-call hours, you will collaborate closely with our skilled physician team to deliver care to women choosing The Potash Center as their birth facility. The position offers a full scope role with approximately 40 hours per week, or a hospitalist role, depending on your preference.

Our services primarily support underrepresented minority women in Cuyahoga County, and we are dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care while addressing maternal and infant disparities rooted in systemic inequities.

University Hospitals is committed to increasing diversity among our faculty and encourages interested midwives of color to apply. Candidates must have at least 2 years of current full-scope experience.
