Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join Venice OBGYN, a comprehensive practice attached to Sarasota Memorial - Venice Hospital. The team includes three physicians and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in a modern clinic setting.

The role emphasizes obstetric and gynecologic care in outpatient and hospital settings with regular hours, on-call duties, and collaboration with hospital staff. Florida licensure, BLS, DEA, and CNM certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited master’s degree program.
• Current board certification.
• Active or eligibility for licensure by the State of Florida.
• BLS
• DEA Certificate
• Experience working as a CNM
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Provide Obstetric and Gynecologic services in an outpatient and hospital setting.
• Monday - Friday outpatient practice hours.
• Rounding on admitted patients on LDRP and seeing patients in the practice, with physician and/or labor coverage.
• On call responsibilities 2 nights/week and 1 weekend/month call.
• Clinic visits include OB Visits (20+weeks), postpartum visits, GYN annual visits, and same day.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic testing and interpret results.
• Prescribe, administer, and dispense medications and other treatments.
• Coordinate treatment and referrals to other providers as required.
• Manage patient callbacks and communicate results.
