Job summary

Erie Family Health Centers in Chicago seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full-scope care including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well-woman and family planning, with hospital delivery privileges. Collaboration with physicians and referrals as needed ensure comprehensive care.

The position requires a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice, CNM certification, and at least 3 years of ambulatory CNM experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice is required.
• Certification as a nurse midwife and active Illinois CNM license.
• Minimum 3 years of ambulatory CNM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope nurse-midwifery services: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well woman, and family planning.
• Maintain hospital delivery privileges as requested.
• Perform history and physical exams for new and returning clients.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses per protocols and in collaboration with physicians.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
