Job description

Opportunity

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a full-time Midwife to join our experienced team within the Family Medicine Residency.

Our TMH Family Practice Midwives provide holistic care to women and newborns in both outpatient and inpatient settings, based on current research evidence. They focus on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and family planning. Our Nurse Midwives manage a wide range of patients from low to high risk, including those with multiple comorbidities, with support from MFM, OB faculty, and OB fellows. They also provide 24/7 OB/ED coverage and hospital-wide obstetric emergency care as needed.

As part of a teaching practice, our ARNP Certified Nurse Midwives serve as role models, responsible for self-development and educating peers and colleagues. They play a key role in teaching family practice residents during obstetric rotations and support Family Medicine Obstetric Fellows. Our CNMs care for patients in rural health departments in the Tallahassee region and provide traditional midwifery care in the office.

Our current team has decades of experience and enjoys teaching, so new graduates are encouraged to apply. Spanish fluency is a major plus.

This is a full-capacity team of 8, sharing responsibilities for 24/7 OB/ED coverage, 7-day night call, and outpatient practice.
