Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for PRN maternity services. You will apply midwifery care to a defined patient group, collaborate with the obstetric team, and ensure high-quality care.

This PRN role supports our NICU and labor and delivery teams in Hickory, NC. Requirements include an RN license in North Carolina, AMCB certification, NRP and BCLS certifications, and completion of a nurse-midwifery program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and completion of a nurse-midwifery program.
• AMCB certification is required.
• Current North Carolina RN license.
• NRP certification is required.
• BCLS certification required; if not AHA, obtain within three months of employment.

• Assess midwifery needs for assigned patient group.

Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board. Possession of a current North Carolina RN license. Approved to perform medical acts by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners. NRP certification is required.BCLS certification.
