Job summary
Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife for the Maternity Services department on a PRN basis. The role focuses on comprehensive midwifery care for an assigned patient group within our maternity unit.
This position requires a Master’s in Nursing with Nurse-Midwifery training, NC RN license, AAMC/ACNM certification, NRP, and BCLS. On-the-job training provided; experience not mandatory for hire.
Qualifications
- Master’s graduate of accredited School of Nursing and completion of an approved post basic program of study and clinical experience for Nurse-Midwifery.
- Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board.
- Possession of a current North Carolina RN license.
- Approved to perform medical acts by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners.
- NRP certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care delivered to assigned group of patients and function within the expectations of the service.
- Other midwifery duties as assigned by the department.
