White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife for our Labor & Delivery unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Certified Nurse Midwife You Will

  • Provides direct antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic patient services
  • Applies surgical skills and knowledge required to act as first assist in the Operating Room.
  • Collaborates with physicians. support staff, and ancillary departments to provide quality patient care
  • Performs History and physical examination in a timely manner
  • Maintains role/specialty competencies as well as keeping current with changes in practice, i.e., new equipment, medications, treatment modalities.
  • Actively participates in departmental peer review, staff meetings, in-service education and quality improvement processes.

Qualifications Include

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery required
  • Current RN license to work in Maryland
  • Current Certification as a Nurse Midwife from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or any other certifying body recognized by the Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Two to three years of experience nursing in department specific areas
  • Certification for Electronic Fetal Monitoring within 3 months of employment
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule

Variable Part-time (PRN) Two shifts per month minimum, but can do more

Pay Range

$50.80 - $76.20

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
